Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for membership, individuals must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an adult individual competent to contract under Section 11 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

  • Not have been adjudged by a competent court to be insolvent or undercharged insolvent within the last five years, unless genuinely needing the services provided by the society.

  • Not have been convicted of any offense involving moral turpitude or dishonesty within the last five years.

Membership Types

  • Open to adult individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Requires the payment of an admission fee of Rs. 500/-.
  • Ordinary members have full voting rights and can participate in the governance of the society.
  • Available for individuals who wish to support the society but do not meet the eligibility criteria for ordinary membership.
  • Requires the payment of an admission fee of Rs. 1000/-.
  • Nominal or associate members do not have voting rights or participation in governance but can benefit from certain services provided by the society.

Application Process :

  1. Submission of Application: Interested individuals can submit a membership application to the Chief Executive of the society in the prescribed form.
  2. Payment of Fees: Along with the application, applicants must pay the prescribed admission fee (Rs. 100/- for ordinary membership and Rs. 50/- for nominal or associate membership).
  3. Share Subscription: Applicants must also purchase a minimum of one share of Rs. 50/- each and pay the value thereof in full.
  4. Application Review: The society will review the membership application within a specified period (typically four months) from the date of submission.
  5. Approval: If the application is found complete and meets all requirements, it will be approved, and the applicant will be notified accordingly.
  6. Membership Rights: Upon approval, members will receive their share certificates and gain access to the rights and privileges associated with their membership type.

Membership Benefits

  • Access to financial services, including loans and savings accounts.

  • Participation in decision-making processes through voting rights and representation in the governance of the society.

  • Eligibility for training programs and educational initiatives organized by the society.

  • Access to various amenities and facilities provided by the society for the well-being of members and their families.

Withdrawal and Expulsion:

  • Members can voluntarily withdraw from the society by providing written notice to the Board.

  • However, certain conditions may apply, such as a waiting period of one year before rejoining.

  • The society reserves the right to expel members for acts detrimental to its proper functioning, subject to a fair and transparent process.

Disqualifications

Members may be disqualified from continuing their membership if:

  • Their business conflicts with or competes with the business of the society.

  • They have consistently availed services worth less than Rs. 1000/- per year for two consecutive years.

  • They have failed to attend three consecutive general meetings without valid reasons.

  •  They have defaulted on payments owed to the society.

Notice and Cessation of Membership

  • Before disqualifying members, the society must provide them with a reasonable opportunity to present their case.

  • Membership may cease due to emigration, death, or cancellation of registration of the society.

  • In cases of cessation, the member’s shares will be transferred to other members or as per the society’s
